Here's what's out there this week, and some pretty good buys they are:
- Beef, London Broil - $1.99/lb Safeway (Okay, a long time ago, 'London Broil' meant marinated flank steak, but these days it's Top Round Steak cut a little thicker than normal. I marinate it for a couple days, then broil inside or outside. Sliced thin across the grain, with juices poured over, baked potato, salad. Who says you can't get fabulous food at home without spending a lot of money?)
- Pork Butt - $1.19/lb - Bone-in, Frozen - Foodland/ S 'n' S (Time for tamales rapidos again. Recipe coming.)
- Onions - 3 lb bag, $1.99 - KTA (That's less than 67 cents a pound!)
- Zucchini - $1.49/lb - Choicemart or Safeway
- Pork and Beans - Case of 8, 15 oz cans, $5.19 ($.69/lb) - KTA
- Oranges, Navel - $.89/lb - Foodland/ S 'n' S
- Ice Cream, Lucerne, 1.75 Qt - $2.49 - Safeway Coupon + $20 Purchase
- Tostitos or Ruffles Chips - $2.50 - Foodland/ S 'n' S
