- Chicken - stock up sale at Albertson's: Drums/Thighs - $.88/lb; Leg Quarters 10 lbs for $5.90; or Breasts, Boneless/skinless - $1.88/lb

- Avocado - $.88/each, Safeway (OK, buy one of these for each person, split, take the seed out and stuff the hole with fresh crab. Now THAT'S a salad. And cheap, too!)

- Limes - 5 for $1, Albertson's (Nice to sprinkle a little fresh lime juice on the cleaned crab, or mix into the butter you dip in. Or, with these little limes, you can make a very credible Key Lime Pie, even though they're not technically "Key" limes from the Florida Keys.)
